The Naniwa Chosera stones are premium level sharpening stones highly regarded for their exceptional feedback and fast action. Their unique advantage lies in the variety of hardness between different grits, allowing them to be effectively used on both harder and softer steels. These stones boast a high grit density and are best when soaked in water before use. They are specially cut to fit Wicked Edge paddles, 5 mm thick, and come pre-mounted for convenient use with any Wicked Edge sharpening system. The stones are packaged in a plastic blister pack for effortless storage when not in use.

The coarse grit stones (#400, #600, #800) are designed for aggressive stock removal, repairs, and reprofiling. They excel at removing deeper scratches from diamond plates.
- #400 Chosera: A solid, hard, and aggressive stone with excellent durability
- #600 Chosera: A softer stone with a "buttery" feedback, ideal for harder steels
- #800 Chosera: Technically a coarse stone, it leaves a good working edge with some mud
The medium grit stones (#1,000, #2,000, #3,000) refine edges to working sharp levels, perform maintenance on dulled knives, and are suitable for minor repair and profiling work. They set the stage for fine grit polishing stones.
- #1,000 Chosera: One of the best stones in the series, aggressive yet slightly more refined
- #2,000 Chosera: A softer stone providing a "good enough" edge on softer steel knives
- #3,000 Chosera: A harder stone perfect for a working edge and setting up for polishing
The fine grit stones (#5,000, #10,000) elevate edges to a new level, enabling effortless cutting.
- #5,000 Chosera: A softer stone with wonderful feedback and a mirror finish
- #10,000 Chosera: Takes the mirror finish further and refines the edge to "shaving sharp" levels
It is recommended to use the #5,000 stone before the #10,000 for optimal results.
