We recommend soaking the Chosera #400 Whetstone for 2-3 minutes before initial sharpening. After soaking, you can splash water on the surface to keep it wet. This stone works best with a quick soak. While sharpening, the stone's solid and aggressive nature ensures efficient stock removal, repairs, and (re)profiling. After finishing sharpening, clean the stone and allow it to air dry naturally in a shaded position. Avoid rapid drying to prevent potential cracking, and do not leave the stone in water, as it can degrade its quality.
